Bell has informed us that their network has been partially restored.
We have not received any additional updates from Bell and are being told further updates will come Monday morning. We will update this status page tomorrow morning by 9:00AM PST with any additional updates.
Due to the severity of this outage, we would advise that you please expect continued disruption through tomorrow.

We have been given another update from Bell:
DUE TO LAST WEATHER EVENT, WE ARE EXPERIENCING A DUAL FIBRE CUT CAUSED BY AVALANCHE ON MP. 120 THOMPSON SUBDIVISION BETWEEN NORTH BEND AND BASQUE, BC. THIS HAS CAUSED LOSS OF LOCAL ACCESS CONNECTIONS TO THE EDGE/CORE NETWORK AND AS A RESULT CUSTOMERS THAT ARE LOCATED IN THE BC AREA REGARDLESS OF THE AREA CODE OF THEIR NUMBER ARE IMPACTED. NORTH PATH CUT ON CN RAIL: CREW ARE WORKING ON IT NO ETA SOUTH PATH CUT: AT 3:30PM ROGERS PROVIDED AN UPDATE INDICATING THAT CUT IS 23KM FROM NORTH BEND FACING BASQUE, THE TEAM IS MOVED TOWARD THAT LOCATION ROGERS IS A PART OWNER OF THE IMPACTED FIBRES WITH BELL AND TELUS AND THEY ARE THE COMPANY THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING AND REPAIRING THE FIBRES. NEXT UPDATE WILL BE PROVIDED SOONER IF THE SITUATION CHANGES SIGNIFICANTLY.

Our PSTN team is still working with other carrier to find a Reroute option for the traffic. they are working to define the type of connection that we need from other carrier. As soon as we have more update, we will inform you.
We have not received any further meaningful updates and there is still no ETA.
We’re very sorry for the inconvenience but are being told that this is an enormous outage and they are going as fast as possible.

We’ve become aware of a Bell Network outage in British Columbia that is impacting our ability to deliver inbound calls to your phone numbers. We’ve received this from Bell:
“We are experiencing an outage in BC that may impact certain services. The Bell network team continues to work on the issue.”
We do not currently have an ETA for resolution but are being told this is impacting many Bell users. We will provide an update to this issue when we learn more.
